Flash Tuesday!

Full Article

Cameron Sorden

Happy Flash Tuesday! It’s been awhile since the last one (curse those Holidays for interrupting your enjoyment of flash titles and evasion of work!), but we’re coming back swinging hard. Here are three games that have eaten up more of our time than we care to admit over the last week or two. We hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we have.

Gateway
What if you were a robot? Wait! Even better: You’re a robot, but you’re trapped in a maze of rooms, and each room requires you to solve increasingly complex logic puzzles to escape! Sound good? Well, trust us. It’s addictive. If you’re the kind to enjoy a good brain-teaser, go help the little fella escape from his fiendish prison. This one should keep you busy for a while, unless you’re some kind of genius (in which case, contact us regarding world domination plans). [Play]

Flow
It’s rare that you get to play a game that’s really beautiful. Many games have pretty pictures or beautiful elements, but what’s interesting about Flow is that it’s the movement of the game itself that will intrigue you. Guide a little creature around an aquatic world and help him to eat, grow, and survive. You need to see this. It’s a very intuitive and cool little game. [Play]

Bowmaster Prelude
Maybe you’ve played some of those “accuracy” flash games before, where you aim a projectile and see how far you can launch it or try to hit a specific target. This game is that concept to the nth power. Defend your castle, upgrade your missile types, shoot the opposing soldiers, and send out your own. It’s a very complex game of capture the flag that has enough depth to be a standalone casual game. It even saves your progress for subsequent visits! [Play]

That wraps it up for this week’s Flash Tuesday! Enjoy your games, and check back soon for a new batch of picks.
