Flash Tuesday!

Full Article

Cameron Sorden

For our first Flash Tuesday feature, we have a nice variety of titles. A bit of old school action, a bit of RPG, and a side-scrolling shooter for you destruction-hungry types. Details follow.

Bullet Bill
If you ever played Super Mario Bros., you’ll feel right at home when you fire up Bullet Bill. The graphics are obviously ripped off, but the gameplay is fresh and fun. Guide a bullet through each level while trying to avoid obstacles, destroying blocks, and knocking goombas (little mushroom shaped men) out of the way. With infinite retries and speedy gameplay, Bullet Bill is a nice little trip down memory lane and plenty of fun to boot. [Play]

Grow RPG
An incredibly creative game (and only one of the games in the grow series), Grow RPG has you place various building blocks on a play field and observe what happens. Each turn the placed items grow and interact with each other in different ways, depending on what order they were chosen. Once all the pieces have been used, your hero sets off to defeat the evil villain. Will he succeed? Only if you chose carefully! Seeing all the possible outcomes is a blast. [Play]

Heli Attack 3
Finally, we have Heli Attack 3. It’s a side-scrolling action shooter with more guns, robots, blood, and explosions than you can shake a stick at. The gameplay and graphics are very reminiscent of the Metal Slug series, and the sheer variety of the weapons is reason enough to play this one for awhile. Action fans should definitely have a look. [Play]

That wraps it up for this week’s Flash Tuesday! Enjoy your games, and check back next week for a new batch of picks.
