This week we have some very interesting flash games for you to play with. Two of them require a good sense of timing, but are great fun if you can get into the flow of them. The third is more of a political commentary than a game, but it’s guaranteed to get you thinking and should encourage some discussion with your friends, if nothing else. Go play!
Pendulameca
A neat little entry from addictinggames.com, Pendulameca puts you in control of a robot navigating through a tunnel with spikes at the bottom. Your goal is to get him as far as you can by firing a hook at an angle into the ceiling and swinging him like a pendulum (thus the name). The strategy lies in timing your next shot at the top of the arc. It’s very exciting and requires an excellent grasp of physics and timing. [Play]
Double Wires
This one is almost identical in playstyle to Pendulameca, but is much more forgiving. You have two wires instead of just one and there are no spikes at the bottom, so you can cut your swing as close as you like. Also, the levels tend to be much more wacky, fluid, and exciting, and range up and down. You can even climb on top of them! If you’ve always wanted to see what Spiderman feels like, check this out. September 12th
This is a very thought-provoking title that’s less of a game than a self-described “simulation of a war on terror.” Love it, hate it, or appalled by it, it’s guaranteed to get you thinking and get you talking. Warning: This is probably not work safe. [Play]
That wraps it up for this week’s Flash Tuesday! Enjoy your games, try to get SOME work done, and check back next week for a new batch of picks.
