Sonoro TV by DevilishGames
Scribbly cartoon characters, hip techno samples, abstract photographic backdrops and dripping spray paint come together at the intersection known as Sonoro TV. It's a cute yet devious Lemmings variant where you use six varieties of special spray paint to stick, shepherd and bounce animated little music samples across 30 devilish levels, protecting them from the disc-tossing DJ Sonoro. The most original action puzzler to come along in ages. [Website] |

Feyruna - Fairy Forest by Jochen Kärcher Gamedesign
The fairy protagonist of Feyruna has to be one of the least fearsome action heroes or heroines to grace your PC's screen. But don't let her diminutive size fool you - once she gets her spells, she packs a mean magical punch. You fly her through 60 fantasy-themed levels, collecting glowies and avoiding or destroying the varied monsters and bosses that haunt the land. And there are three bonus minigames to unlock too. Darwin The Monkey by Rock Solid Games
You might remember our interview with Rock Solid Games from last month, when we got to know this Kiwi team based out of Waiheke Island in Auckland, New Zealand. Their new platform game centers around an adorable monkey who must liberate bananas and eggs from a tribe of wicked frogs. In the ancient platform game tradition, you dispatch enemies by jumping on their heads, but beware - these frogs get back up after a few seconds! I found the 30 levels of gameplay rather quick and simple to play through - probably just right for younger monkeys. [Website] |
